Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of YumiLM, including the website at yumilm.com and any related services (the "Service"). The Service is operated by YumiLM ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Service.

1. Acceptance of the Terms

These Terms form a binding agreement between you and YumiLM. By registering an account, signing in, or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization, in which case "you" refers to that organization. If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

YumiLM is a web application that lets you submit YouTube links, uploaded audio or video files, and live recordings to produce transcripts, summaries, translations, subtitles, Insight Guides, and downloadable PDFs. The Service may be accessed through a web browser and may be updated, expanded, or restricted at any time without prior notice. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your own lawful purposes in accordance with these Terms.

3. User Accounts and Account Security

To use most features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep that information updated. You are solely responsible for keeping your password and account credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to or use of your account or any other security breach. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from unauthorized use of your account. You must be at least 16 years old, or older where required by your local jurisdiction, to create an account.

4. User-Submitted Content and Rights

You are responsible for the media, links, files, recordings, text, and any other content you submit to the Service ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to submit it and to authorize YumiLM to process it for the purposes described in these Terms, and that your User Content does not violate any applicable law or the rights of any third party. You retain ownership of your User Content. We process your User Content only to provide the Service, as further described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Submit content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, harassing, or otherwise harmful;
• Use the Service to transcribe, translate, or process content you do not have the right to use;
• Attempt to access, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the Service, its systems, or its infrastructure;
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without our written permission;
• Use automated systems, bots, or scrapers in a way that overloads or impairs the Service;
• Circumvent usage limits, billing controls, or security measures.

We may suspend or terminate access if we believe, in our sole discretion, that you have violated these Terms or any applicable law.

6. AI-Generated Outputs Disclaimer

The transcripts, summaries, translations, subtitles, Insight Guides, and other outputs generated by the Service are produced using artificial intelligence and automated processing. AI outputs may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies, and should be reviewed by you before reliance or distribution. YumiLM does not guarantee that any output will be accurate, complete, or fit for any particular purpose. You are solely responsible for how you use, edit, and share any output produced by the Service.

7. Plans, Billing, Renewals, and Cancellations

YumiLM offers both free and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed on a recurring subscription basis through our payment provider, Stripe. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us to charge the applicable fees on a recurring basis until you cancel.

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account or by contacting support@yumilm.com. Cancellation prevents future renewals but does not automatically refund payments already made. You will retain access to the paid features until the end of the current billing period.

Monthly allowances and features may reset each billing cycle and may vary by plan. Unused allowance does not roll over. We may change plan pricing, features, or allowances with reasonable notice; any price change will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle following the notice.

8. Refund Policy

Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. Refunds are provided only where legally required or at YumiLM's sole discretion. If you believe you are entitled to a refund under applicable law, please contact support@yumilm.com with the relevant details.

9. Service Availability and Changes

We strive to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service, or introduce new features, at any time and without prior notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the Service.

10. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, YumiLM and its suppliers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service, including any reliance on AI-generated outputs. Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or the minimum amount required by applicable law, whichever is greater.
